Immigration Legal Services of Long Island, Inc. is please to announce the grant received form the Unitarian Universalist Fund at the Long Island Community Foundation to provide legal services to victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse and human trafficking.

The principal objectives are:

To provide comprehensive immigration legal services and court representation to victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse and human trafficking victims, so they may be able to adjust their  status and live legally in the U.S. with their families.

To hold a series of "Know Your Rights" community meetings targeted to Latina immigrants to discuss the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), provide referrals to support organizations  and ILSOLI's legal services.

To launch an outreach strategy including a monthly radio show and distribution of printed material in local community venues that highlight domestic violence and sexual abuse issues, and VAWA.

To partner with immigrant advocates and immigrant services organizations to formalize a referral system, and to create a comprehensive safety net of support for victims and their families.
